Every Sunday at 10am we get together from all over Auckland to celebrate and reflect on what it means to be a Christian. We sing songs that express our adoration. We explore the Bible’s perspective on issues facing us today. We pray. And we share in life’s highs and lows.
We meet at The Parenting Place Building, 300 Great South Road, Greenlane. There is ample parking down the side and at the back of the building. All onsite car parks are available for use on Sunday. Additional car parks are available at 302-308 Great South Road - use the TPP & Pacific Brands parking spaces. Click here for a map of how to find us.
The best motorway exit to reach us from either North or South is at Greenlane East Road.
If coming from the south once you come off the motorway turn left. At the next set of lights you need to be in the right hand lane to take a right (just past the McDonald’s). Auckland Bible Church will be 500 metres down the road on your right hand side. Look for the Auckland Bible Church and Parenting Place signs.
If coming from the north take a right around the roundabout taking the third exit onto Greenlane East Road. At the next set of lights you need to be in the right hand lane to take a right (just past the McDonald’s). Auckland Bible Church will be 500 metres down the road on your right hand side. Look for the Auckland Bible Church and Parenting Place signs.
Our office is located on Level 1 of the The Parenting Place Building at 300 Great South Road Greenlane. This is the same building as our auditorium.
How do you describe yourself as a church?
We are a diverse collection of people who have either come to faith in Jesus Christ, or are exploring that option. Some of us have no church background at all, and others of us come from quite varied church backgrounds. That makes us a non-denominational church focused on developing a dynamic relationship with Christ and each other, and applying the life-changing truth of the Bible to every-day experiences.
What is the service like?
While services vary from week to week, each includes worship with congregational singing, announcements, a message, offering, and prayer. Other elements include drama, video clips and visual art. Services begin at 10am and finish by 11.30am with a coffee or tea. On some Sundays we may share lunch together - all are welcome to stay and enjoy.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. If you want to bring a Bible, feel free to do so. We provide Bibles and we project songs on overhead screens.
What is the music like?
We combine a balance of old and new in a contemporary praise setting. Led by a team of musicians, our services are a time of corporate, intimate communion with God. The worship team includes vocalists, guitars, piano and drums. The team draws from various styles of music to unite us in worship, celebration, and praise.
What do people wear on Sundays?
Come casual or dress up. People wear anything from shorts and jeans to dresses and sport coats.
Where do my kids go?
We have great kids and youth programmes which begin around 10.15am each Sunday morning. While parents enjoy the service, kids are learning about God at their level in a creative and safe environment. Check out the kids and youth programmes here.
